Description

Pronunciation:
Tell-Shack

biological description
Medium sized Reptilian humanoid.
dark and light colored orange colors that resemble much Edridion's colours.
Lime green colored eyes.
4-6 small spikes in the head, (size varies depending on size and sex.)
orange spots and scales cover large postilions of their body.
orange tail.

Brief History:
At first glance, these humanoid creatures might not look like anything special, but you should know better then anyone that appearances can be deceiving, Te'shaks are some of the finest hard workers and tech tinkerer's you will ever come across, they live with a continuous fascination for understanding complicated mechanisms and the insides of any piece of technology the can get their hands on.

originating from their home world of Tel-adan, like the human race the Tel'shak relied on expanding their knowledge and understanding of how things worked around them to better prepare them for any threat. One aspect of the Tel'shak history that makes them undoubtedly unique, is while they could easily pull apart most machines or puzzles after only seconds of inspecting it, they never sought to use their mighty intellect to expand an empire of any sort, this is mainly because Tel'shak's value knowledge, machinery, and technology more than land.

The last hundred years has seen the species hold its weight against more populous race's simply due to Tel'shaks indisputable skill with anything that ticks. They work across all areas of the Universe, so long as their job keeps them constantly challenged and exposed to any sort of gadgets or machinery, the Te'shak doesn't care if the work is legal or illegal.

Edridion Inteligence:
While the Tel'shak race migrated to the Edridion system hundreds and thousands of years of years before it become a black market destination, their planet population has dwindled over the last 100 years, mainly due to Edirdion becoming something of a conflict zone due to the large amounts of different crime firms and species all sharing the same planet.  but that does not mean they're hard to come by. If theirs technology or gadgets to be sold, you can bet a Tel'shak will be the vendor, or at the very least, workforce.

Theirs only one or two Tel'shak communities on the Edridion system as Tel'shak's prefer to work independently, Tel'shaks mainly deal in spare parts, gadgets, arms and weapons, and scrap, but expect these to be the most welcoming and friendly local business' you will encounter on Edridion.

Nature and inteligence:
Tel'shak's are very complex creatures, rarely do any two Tel'shak's share the same personality or views on anything which makes them a very independent individuals, this is why theirs only a small amount of communities on Edirdion, as most Tel'shak's prefer to work and make a living alone, they are well known to develop strong rivalries within their own race.

Te'lshak's are easily one of the most intelligent species on Edridion and you should never underestimate one, just because they're not one to start any fight whatsoever, does not mean they will are submissive to any species bigger then them, to gain the trust of a Tel'shak requires respect, common understanding, and strong wits. Theirs been numerous stories of Tel'shak vendors even sabotaging gadgets and firearms of customers who were deemed to have been disrespectful from them, these acts of sabotage can range from removing key parts from gadgets, or even rigging weapons and vehicles to explode, so perhaps keep the jokes and backtalk to a minimum, until you get on their good side.

Tel'shak's while no doubt possess a mind that can thoroughly analyse working machines in detail, they sometimes are not smart enough to see when they are being rude or offensive, don't take this too personally and see it as an excuse to talk back, refer to the previous paragraph otherwise.

Culture:
Tel'shak culture as a whole virtually revolves around the notion of obtaining knowledge is true power, being stubbornly independent makes them not a race known for coming together to embrace their history or culture, more then likely each Tel'shak has his or her own way or expressing their culture. Unlike other races the Tel'shak species is quite respectful to others beliefs and opinions, so long as they don't effectively mock or attack theirs.

language
Tel'shak's have a very skilled tongue, and will have no problem speaking in numerous different languages, while they have their own native language they speak, its doubtful they will ever speak it in the presences of a stranger or customer.

Combat:
Tel'shak's usually avoid conflict at all costs, not because they are cowards, mainly because the functioning insides of living organism do not interest them like machines do. But hypothetically if you do manage to come across the only Tel'shak in the universe that goes around starting fights, theirs really not much the species has naturally to fight off a Covert Operatives blades and plasma casters. If a Tel'shak wants someone dead, they normally hire species that make a living off of killing. Their intelligence and quick thinking though might just surprise you.

strengths and weaknesses.

Normally, a Tel'shak's is just stronger then a well seasoned human.
Their intelligence is their key weapon. They are normally very clever and know their territory well.
Most of these creatures live for understanding all forms of technology, expect them to know your weapons just as well as yo do, if not better.
They share almost all the same critical points as that of a human, heats, lungs, stomach, or anything to make them bleed will be effective in killing them.
local Tel'shak vendors usually have the community backing them, theirs a chance that if you kill one, the locals that buy their supplies from them will want to even the score.

observant facts
No all Tel'shaks are tech geeks and grease monkeys, their fascination with how things work might vary from one to another.
They can go up to 48 hours without sleep, and usually do, their minds are always chattering away.
Tel'shak's can also become quite paranoid, a brain that never sleeps will no doubt think like that.
Tel'shak's hate to show off their wealth. Its possible they just like to keep you guessing.

I hope this information proves useful. safe passage and best of luck A'ka'an-Dra

Making of Facts
The Tel'shak drew some insparation fom the Drac Species from the 1985 film Enemy Mine
The Tel'shak was origionally meant to be to be a "Yoda" sized lizard that was still just as obsessed with tech. This was changed in the end.

Tel'shak's created and desgined by myself and :iconyautja-syn:
